For summer of 2008, Lighthouse along with OMS International is
sponsoring a short-term
mission trip to Ecuador.
Tucked in a beautiful valley, at base of the Andes mountain range
in Ecuador, South America,
there is a beautiful place in the world God has set aside to do huge
things. This incredible place
has a vision to see the people of Ecuador reached for Christ, and
then encouraged in their faith.
With 90 beds, a kitchen, dining room, great gym and massive
fields, this camp has the potential to
have thousands come through the gates, and hear about Gods amazing
love and how they can
have a personal relationship with Him.
At the moment the camp is sitting almost dormant. This year two
couples with a passion for the
Ecuadorian people are heading over to put their skills and
experience into Camp Pallatanga. There
together with some work teams, they will do some much needed
maintenance, create fun activities,
and allow people the opportunity to learn about our Lord.
Camp Pallatanga would love you to be a part of what they are
doing in Ecuador. There is a lot of
work to be done, for example the camp can sleep 90 yet the sewage
system is limiting the camp to
thirty people at one time.
What can
you do?
We will be
involved in many different activities and ministries while in
Ecuador, ranging from
various work and improvement projects around the camp, to
outreaches into the town of
Pallatanga.
What do
you need?
To enter
Ecuador, it is required to have the following vaccinations:
Hepatitis A
Tetanus
Typhoid
You need to have a current and valid US Passport.
