About our Staff
Pastor & Mrs. Alton Zentner
Lighthouse was founded by Pastor Alton R. Zentner in 1982. Along with his wife, Debbie, LCC & LCA have grown over the years with a purpose to meet the needs of the community with Christian education. He received the call to start a Christian School in 1978. This was Gateway Christian School, which was the first non-public, church sponsored school in the State of Pennsylvania. Prior to this, he had a private business, serving the community in the music industry. Pastor Zentner currently serves as Pastor, as well as Principal at Lighthouse. Mrs. Zentner serves as the supervisor of the Learning to read center of the academy. She also is the Sunday School Superintendent of the church.
Mr. & Mrs. Kenneth Dockery
Ken and Dianne have been extremely instrumental in the growth of Lighthouse. Dianne serves as a Pastor, and together with Ken, they founded and manage Big Family Ministry to Russian orphans.
Pastor & Mrs. Robert Preg
Bob & Mabel Preg have been involved in a church centered counseling ministry since 1970. Both are trained leaders for the Stephen Ministry program and have trained over 100 people in helping others in crisis situations. Bob is also a facilitator for Elijah House Ministry of Prayer Counseling since 2003. As an active Christian Counseling Team, they have helped addicts find a sober lifestyle, lead couples to reconciliation in their marriage, and counseled young adults in conquering their struggle with eating disorders. Bob will be leading a 12 step group of Overcomers that is open to the community as an outreach to others who are struggling to overcome various life problems. Bob is a 1964 graduate of the Pennsylvania State University and Mabel received additional training in Psychology from Alvernia University.
Mr. & Mrs. Jacob Masemore
Both students who graduated from Lighthouse, Jacob and Heather have come back to serve as staff. Jacob serves as Pastor's Assistant, and has been with us since 2006. Heather serves as Supervisor of the upper learning center, and sings on the worship team. She has a degree from Lancaster Bible College.
Ms. Kristin Bechtel
Kristin also graduated from Lighthouse and returned in 2007 to serve as staff. She works in the upper learning center, and teaches math and science classes. She also serves on the worship team singing and playing the bongo drums.
Mrs. Virginia Wetzel
Virginia has been teaching our kindergarten class for the past eight years. She and her husband Clair are an integral part of the Lighthouse Community Church.
